Our Mission

We enable seasoned professionals to harness the power of digital technology for achieving new project ambitions or for shaping their personal legacies and/or objectives, through personalized, customized, and specialized education from world-class faculty and mentors.

 

The Digital Leadership Experience

We are in the age of digital disruption. This fourth industrial revolution will push the boundaries of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and smart technology to exponentially influence every aspect of our work and personal lives. 

The Digital Leadership Experience at Columbia University allows busy executives to enhance their effectiveness in managing complex digital transformation initiatives. This one year program provides a personal education plan at the Center for Technology Management, where members of the center enjoy various lectures and mentoring that fits their busy schedules.

The center has over 260+ affiliated accomplished mentors that will work with members in a one-on-one relationship and help them complete a strategic digital business plan. With acclaimed research centers and schools, world-class faculty, and a global mentor network, Columbia University will provide you with expansive, thoughtful frameworks and an enriching experience that will power you to your next success.

Each individual’s objective will culminate in a Capstone (Final) Project. This could involve elements such as the project objectives listed below.

The center has 260+ accomplished mentors who will work with you in a one-on-one relationship to help complete your strategic digital business plan. Our mentors can be found throughout the world and provide proactive support, lectures, and counsel on technology challenges and trends. They are executives, innovators, investors, board members, and entrepreneurs. They represent industries including consumer goods and retail, entrepreneurism, financial services, government, health care and pharmaceuticals, insurance, media, and nonprofits. Current mentors include executive leaders in companies such as Blackstone, Centene Corp., Citigroup, J.Crew, JetBlue, Johnson & Johnson, Vice Media, and other organizations. Accepted individuals can begin at any time and shape their education either on campus or from the comfort of their home without having to follow a specific track or academic calendar. A range of optional activities will be held in our New York or Paris locations. The Columbia University Center for Technology Management and the United Nations are working closely together on the United Nations Technology Innovation Lab (UNTIL) program with the goal of using innovative technology to solve some of humanity's most pressing needs. You may tackle one of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals or create your own objective.

What does it mean to be a founding Digital Associate of the Columbia University Center for Technology Management?

Our first group of Digital Associates will complete a one-year objective and become involved with the Center to continue their expansion and participation with future Columbia University Center for Technology Management Digital Associates, helping to structure opportunities and relationships with the University.

Membership as a Digital Associate includes benefits such as a workspace adjacent to the Columbia University campus and special invitations to select events.
