Carr Bettis

Carr Bettis is a serially successful entrepreneur, as the founder and chief architect of numerous market-leading financial science and technology innovations and businesses that have been acquired by Merrill Lynch, Thomson Financial (now Thomson Reuters), Primark/Disclosure (now Thomson Reuters), Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), Advanced Equities/GreenBook Financial (now First Allied) and Sabrient Systems. He manages his family's private equity portfolio via Fathom Lab. Most recently Carr founded, was Chairman and helped to incubate Incentive Lab which was sold to ISS in October 2014. Carr jointly owns intellectual property with Thomson Reuters via his IP firm CB Partners, and is Co-founder and Chairman of Verus Analytics, a 20-year quantitative financial technology company.

Carr serves on the Board of Directors of three technology companies: iMemories, First Contact Entertainment , and is Executive Chairman of AudioEye (OTCBB: AEYE). He is the co-founder and managing member of Reach4Partners and serves on the Advisory Board of Symbolic IO.

He is a former tenured professor and government appointee having served as Securities Administrator, Tax Commissioner and Chief Financial Officer. He maintains an affiliation with Arizona State University as Research Professor of Finance and is frequently cited in national and international financial media. His research has been published in the most prestigious academic journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. Carr has also published in practitioner journals such as the Financial Analyst Journal and the Journal of Investment Management. He received his PhD from Indiana University in 1992. Carr is father of 3 daughters.
