Debra C. Robinson
Debra C. Robinson was named SVP and CIO for Hearst Magazines in Fall 2008. In this newly created position, Robinson is responsible for leading and coordinating IT initiatives and operations across all Hearst Magazines business units, which include 15 U.S. consumer magazine titles; Hearst Magazines Digital Media; CDS Global, the Hearst-owned international data management company that provides customized fulfillment services to publishers and direct marketers; Periodical Publishers’ Service Bureau (PPSB), the Hearst-owned circulation and subscription services company; and the National Magazine Company Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hearst Magazines in the U.K.
Prior to being appointed CIO, Robinson was Vice President of Technology, Production and Digital Media for Hearst Magazines. She was instrumental in developing and organizing the newly-created department. She was the lead person for developing the technology and production needed to create and implement Hearst Magazines Digital Strategy.
Before coming to Hearst, Robinson was SVP and CIO at Primedia for five years. She also held executive positions at CMP Media, CVS Pharmacy, Delaware North Companies and Aramark.
Robinson is a graduate of the Wharton School and also has an M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania.
