As CIO for Home Box Office, Inc., Greg Fittinghoff is responsible for collaborating with departments within HBO to develop and execute technology solutions that both address business needs and ensure that robust information security practices are in place. He also leads the partnership with Time Warner on HBO’s behalf regarding the implementation of shared services initiatives.
Most recently, Fittinghoff was Senior Vice President of Corporate Systems & Infrastructure, responsible for a broad portfolio consisting of systems development, information management and infrastructure support. In this capacity, he oversaw the development of a number of enterprise systems including HBO’s non-linear scheduling, human resources, finance, legal, corporate services, security, film and entertainment production areas, HBO Home Entertainment operations, and the HBO retail store. Additionally, he was responsible for the centralized database administration and business intelligence functions, and managed the infrastructure support teams responsible for information security, SOX compliance, network management, email, data center operations, and the IT service center.
Fittinghoff joined HBO as Vice President of IT Corporate Systems, in November 2006, and was promoted to senior vice president, Enterprise Applications, in 2008. In November 2010, he was named Senior Vice President of Corporate Systems & Infrastructure.
Prior to HBO, Fittinghoff worked at Time Warner and Time Inc., where he served as Vice President of Business Systems Development and as Director of Technology Services. Before Time Warner, Fittinghoff served Becton Dickinson and Company as Director of Enterprise Information Systems and Director of Corporate Information Systems. He also held technology support positions at PepsiCo, Inc. and NYNEX Mobile Communication, Fittinghoff began his career at Mutual of New York, where he was technology leader for numerous initiatives in support of 403(b) pension systems.
Fiittinghoff received a 2010 CIO Magazine Ones To Watch Award, given to rising stars in IT for their leadership, innovation, and value to their organization. He holds an M.S. in Telecommunications and a B.S. in Information Technology from Iona College.
