Jon is an experienced consultant and CTO based in NYC.
Jon is Fractional CTO / Technology Consultant / Architect doing short and long-term assignments for clients on technology roadmaps, technology process & organization, vendor selection/ management, architecture & scalability, technology/business alignment, and mergers & acquisitions.
Most small companies are not of a size that warrants employing a full time Chief Technology Officer. Frequently, the level of strategic guidance available to an engineering department and the level of alignment between business and development teams can benefit from engaging a seasoned CTO on a "fractional" basis. The concept of a fractional CTO is simply to provide your organization with a high level consultant who specializes in the overall management of technology. This engagement is custom-designed to fit the immediate needs of your organization.
Jon's past experience as a technology executive / CTO includes Experian CheetahMail, iVillage / NBC Universal, Kaplan, Grey Healthcare, Time Warner, Scholastic, Oxygen Media, News Corporation, CDnow, 24/7 Media, Bigfoot Interactive and Flat World Knowledge.
Jon was born in Australia, and moved permanently to the USA. In 2000, Jon co-founded the New York CTO Club, a non-profit professional organization, which provides a monthly forum for 100+ technology leaders from many of New York’s best-known companies to share strategies and ideas in a collaborative and collegial environment. Jon is a mentor in Columbia University’s Executive Master's in Technology Management program. In 2008 he was named one of Infoworld’s top 25 CTOs.
