As chief information officer of Delhaize America, Michael Laurenti has overall responsibility for information technology, which supports the company’s millions of customers, 100,000 associates and 1,300 stores. In this role, Laurenti also serves as a member of the Delhaize America Leadership Team.
Laurenti joined Delhaize America in 2014 as the company’s chief information officer (CIO). He is an accomplished information technology leader with more than 20 years of experience. Prior to joining Delhaize America, Laurenti served as executive vice president and chief information officer at Belk Department Stores, the largest privately held department store chain in the country. At Belk, he led a team that was responsible for the development, deployment and support of all technology solutions for the retailer. In addition, he has held information technology leadership positions at Family Dollar Stores, Linens ‘N’ Things and Toys “R” Us.
Laurenti holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics and Business Administration from Cornell University. He resides in Matthews, N.C., with his wife and two children.
