Tej Anand is a technology management executive with over 25 years of experience in transforming technology business models to be responsive to changing market and customer needs. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer for CareCentrix a leading home health benefit management services company. Anand joined CareCentrix from CA Technologies where he was SVP of Information Management and ensured that information was used as a strategic asset to deliver profitable revenue growth, reduce complexity, and improve the quality of business solutions deployed. Anand was also VP, Clinical, Consumer and Information Management Services at Medco Health Solutions where he was instrumental in transforming the company’s clinical and pharmacy operations strategies leading to over $100MM in productivity savings and over $10B in incremental revenue. Prior to Medco, Anand was an executive management consultant at The Concours Group as well as CIO at Golden Books (part of Random House) and NetCreations. Anand has also held senior IT management and research positions at NCR (Teradata), ACNielsen, and Philips Research Laboratories.
Anand is credited with developing the first commercial data mining application while at ACNielsen. He is one of the founders of the field of Knowledge Discovery from Databases. He has extensive experience in healthcare, retail, consumer packaged goods, and publishing. He is a published author, industry speaker, and holder of several patents in healthcare business processes and business intelligence.
Anand has a doctorate in Education from Teachers College Columbia University as well as degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and the University of South Carolina.
