Fred Kauber possesses more than two decades of executive leadership experience as CTO, CIO, CPO and CMO, presiding over technology, product management, marketing and operations functions at Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial ventures alike in the financial services, marketing and technology industries at firms such as Bigfoot Interactive, First Data Corporation, Dun & Bradstreet and IBM Corporation, among others.
Most recently, he served as the Chief Product & Technology Officer of BFS Capital, leading the digital transformation of this leading alternative lender which provides financing solutions to small and medium-sized business. Prior to BFS, he served as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at CAIS Group, a fintech marketplace platform, where he led platform development and corporate marketing initiatives. Prior to CAIS Group, Kauber was CTO at TRANZACT, where he launched autoinsurance.com and directhealth.com as joint ventures with Walmart, and helped lead efforts for TRANZACT’s acquisition by White Mountains in 2014. Kauber also teaches enterprise technology strategy as an adjunct professor in the graduate program of the NYU School of Professional Studies and mentors aspiring technology leaders and entrepreneurs in the Columbia University Technology Management and NYU Future Labs programs.
Kauber graduated from Manhattan College with a BS in Computer Science and received his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He also holds an MS in Telecommunications from Pace University. He is a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), has been trained as a Six Sigma Black Belt and is a member of the Forbes Technology Council.
