Hank Zupnick

New York, NY

Hank Zupnick is currently enjoying an “encore career” in the not-for-profit sector as both a full-time CIO and an active volunteer.  He has over 30 years’ leadership and technology experience, including 16 years in CIO roles for prominent European and American divisions of General Electric.

After leaving the corporate world in 2014, Hank served as CIO of Workforce Opportunity Services, www.wforce.org, a not-for-profit dedicated to bringing economically disadvantaged young adults into the information technology profession. Today, he is CIO of AJC Global, www.ajc.org, a 110-year old not-for-profit supporting religious pluralism, human rights and democratic values worldwide.  As CIO, he is responsible for the development and implementation of cost-effective, flexible productivity solutions that will enable AJC to continue to fulfill its mission, while at the same time ensuring a reliable and secure technology infrastructure worldwide.

In addition to his volunteer work with Columbia University, where he has been active since 2004, Hank is a mentor at Streetwise Partners and the Society for Information Management, and a volunteer with LiveOn New York, www.liveonny.org, an organ donation advocacy organization.  He also mentors in a freelance, fee-based capacity with rising mid-career technology executives.
