Myron Hrycyk currently serves as the Interim CIO at Maple Hawthorn Limited. Previously, he was the Group CIO at Severn Trent PLC, a FTSE 100 business. He was recruited by the CEO in April 2008 to join the newly formed executive team, which focused on transforming the company to be the best water and waste services utility in the UK. Company turnover equaled £1.9b, IT annual operational expenditure hovered around £40m and a capital program of £100m over 5 years with a Global IT unit of 400 people plus external service providers.
As executive sponsor, Myron has led a number of company-wide transformation programs including the SAP driven business transformation program and the company’s mobility strategy. Drawing on his automotive experience, he deployed “Lean” and Continuous Improvement” techniques across the organization, which transformed business processes.
Myron now leads the company’s digital strategy, re-positioning Severn Trent as a digital-first business, which integrates customers' and colleagues' digital journeys.
Prior to joining Severn Trent, Myron has held senior IT posts for major organizations across a range of business sectors: financial services, publishing, automotive, and logistics/supply chain. He has delivered strategic IT and business transformation programs, re-structured corporate IT units, and deployed high performance IT practices. Myron earned his M.B.A. in 2003 at Birmingham University.
