Vita Cassese is Global Vice President at Pfizer Global Pharmaceuticals and also is a member of its senior leadership team.
Cassese joined Pfizer in manufacturing systems in 1978. Over the course of her 25-year career at Pfizer, Cassese’s responsibilities have expanded with the extraordinary growth in the business. She has been involved with a number of groundbreaking initiatives, including the deployment of electronic territory management systems within the pharmaceuticals field force, the implementation of electronic submissions to the FDA, and innovative use of the internet for communication with both physicians and consumers. Cassese’s team is now responsible for the information technology that supports the business capabilities of more than 55,000 Pfizer colleagues worldwide.
Cassese regularly speaks on the topic of the strategic use of technology in the pharmaceuticals industry and has authored several articles on information systems planning, knowledge management, and decision support technologies.
